The assigned creative brief for this piece was to create an invitation for an American Institute of Graphic Arts event directed towards one of their historic gold medalists'. I chose to create an invite for Seymour Chwast, one of the most famous graphic designers in history, using one of his most famous pieces as the inspiration.
I wanted to make an interactive invitation -- thus the hat can be removed, revealing the invitation inside. Inside contains more of his well-known pieces and the information for the event.
I designed and produced the envelope, as well. The final piece (opened) is about 13 inches tall.
